What is the dMAT?
The Digitaler Mastertest (dMAT) is a standardized, computer-based academic aptitude test administered by g.a.s.t. in Germany.
It evaluates general cognitive capabilities and subject-specific qualifications for selected Master’s degree applicants — primarily from India — applying to German universities. The test is a required component of the APS (Academic Evaluation Centre) certification process.
Unlike traditional exams, the dMAT does not test memorized academic knowledge. Instead, it measures your analytical reasoning, pattern recognition, and logical problem-solving ability through carefully designed cognitive tasks.
